Beyond the Physical – The Subtle Body in Yoga - 50 Hour Yoga Teacher Training)
Dates: November 21-22, 2026 (Saturday and Sunday, 8:30am–5pm)
This immersive training explores the energetic dimensions of yoga beyond the physical body. Through the study of chakras, prāṇa, and the subtle body, participants will deepen their understanding of how energy moves through the body and how yoga practices can support balance, vitality, and inner awareness.
Combining classical yogic philosophy with embodied practice, this training invites teachers to move beyond purely anatomical perspectives and develop sensitivity to the energetic layers of experience. Participants will explore how breath, attention, movement, and stillness influence the subtle body and learn practical ways to integrate these principles into yoga teaching.
This program is offered as a hybrid training, combining an in-person weekend intensive with self-paced online study. The in-person component emphasizes experiential learning, guided practices, and discussion, while the online modules deepen theoretical understanding and support continued integration.

Foundations of the Subtle Body
• Understanding the subtle body in classical yoga traditions

Chakras and Energetic Centers
• Overview of the chakra system within traditional yogic teachings

• Understanding symbolic, energetic, and experiential aspects of each chakra
• Exploring how practice can support energetic balance
Prāṇa and the Movement of Life Force
• Understanding prāṇa as the vital force of life
• How breath, movement, and attention influence energetic flow
• Recognizing patterns of vitality, depletion, and balance
• Integrating awareness of prāṇa into yoga practice and teaching
Embodied Energetic Practice
• Experiencing the subtle body through asana, breath, and meditation
• Cultivating awareness of internal sensation and energetic movement
• Using attention and presence to deepen embodied experience
• Supporting students in exploring subtle awareness without forcing interpretation
Integration with Yoga Teaching
• Introducing subtle body concepts in accessible ways
• Designing practices that support energetic awareness and balance
• Using breath, pacing, and sequencing to influence energetic quality

• Online study includes recorded lectures, guided practices, and integration assignments
