TANIA
Leduc Studio Teacher
E-RYT500 YACEP
Over the years, yoga has unfolded as a transformative path for self-discovery and personal growth, offering both grounding stability and expansive insights. My journey began with the practice of Kundalini and Raja Yoga in Mexico, but it was the discovery of Akhanda Yoga’s integrative, holistic approach that ignited my passion for deepening my knowledge.
Completing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 was a defining moment in my journey. Since then, I’ve earned my 500-hour ERYT and YACEP certifications, always seeking to expand my understanding of this ancient philosophy.
I’ve been fortunate to facilitate transformative yoga retreats across Western Canada and to lead Yoga and Meditation Teacher Trainings. It’s a true honour to share my love for yoga with others and support them as they embark on their own journeys of growth and discovery.
With a genuine and warm approach, I create nurturing spaces where students are invited to explore their fullest potential and deepen their practice.

SARA
Leduc Studio Teacher
RYT 200
Sara's yoga journey began in Leduc back in 2002, she was instantly draw to the freedom and grace she felt in her first yoga class and completed her yoga certification in 2005.
She believes that the depth of ones experience in yoga is individual and although we are all walking the same yogic path each person’s experience is authentic and unique. As a yoga teacher, her goal is to be a guide to supporting you in finding the truth of your yogic way and is deeply honoured and grateful to be with you on this journey.

LINDSAY
Leduc Studio Teacher
RYT 500
Lindsay is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher with over five years of teaching experience. Her journey with yoga began as a way to find escape and stillness amidst the chaos of everyday life - a space to reconnect with herself and rediscover balance. What started as a personal refuge soon evolved into a deep passion for sharing the transformative power of yoga with others.
In her classes, Lindsay creates a welcoming environment that encourages self-exploration, mindful movement, and inner awareness. Lindsay weaves together breath, alignment, and intention to help students cultivate both strength and softness - on and off the mat.
Whether guiding a dynamic flow or a grounding yin practice, Lindsay invites students to listen inward, move with purpose, and embrace yoga as a lifelong journey of connection and growth.

MATHEW
Leduc Studio Teacher
RYT 200
Mat has been teaching yoga since 2022, after six years of personal practice and the collective guidance of the teachers who shaped him. His classes blend vinyasa, hatha, yin, and meditation, offering a calm, focused, and intentional space for students to reconnect with themselves.
With breathwork and meditation woven subtly throughout, Mat teaches in a way that encourages ease, introspection, and a deeper listening to the moment as it continues to shift. Students often recognise his loud, steady breath cues- a grounding rhythm that helps the whole room move together.
Rooted in trauma-informed principles, Mat’s approach centres on creating a space where students feel safe, empowered, and in charge of their own experience. His background in alpine climbing also influences his teaching, shaping his understanding of presence, patience, and meeting discomfort with humility.
As a practicing Buddhist, Mat brings a sense of awareness and compassion into his classes. He often uses instrumental music to evoke emotion and sensation, balanced with silence at the beginning of class.
Mat returns to his mat because it’s one of the few places where the noise of life settles enough for clarity to emerge. What he loves most about yoga communities is the quiet support that forms when people breathe and move together. Outside the studio, students are often surprised to learn he’s equally passionate about alpine climbing, heavy metal, and slow, meditative practice- an intersection of intensity and softness that keeps life interesting.

As she settled back in, she felt a growing pull toward teaching. In January 2024, she decided to pursue her 200-hour training through Prana, deepening her knowledge with the intention of sharing the practice with others.
Paula has since completed her Yin training, Restorative Training, Trauma Training and is enrolled in her Embodied Mastery: Somatic Healing Training in the spring of 2026.

BRANDY
Leduc Studio Teacher
RYT 200
I started practicing yoga in 2014. The first class I attended was unknowingly Ashtanga, and I fell in love with the practice. I practiced yoga on and off until 2023, when I took my 200hr YTT training at Yogalife. Teacher training was life-changing, and I knew I wanted to share the tradition of yoga with others.
For the last 2 years, I have taught Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga-inspired. I personally practice Ashtanga and love the strength that it builds. Not only in the body but also in the mind. It is more like a moving meditation. Making my way to my mat as often as I can for my "attitude adjustment," I like to call it, builds determination and strength not only on the mat but off the mat as well.
Looking forward to sharing the tradition with the Ekatra community

CHRISTINA
YTT LEAD FLOW TRAINER
E-RYT 500
I first stepped onto my mat 18 years ago, and since then, my yoga practice has been the backbone to how I navigate life on and off the mat. I love how the practice encourages an inquiry and exploration of the physical body while nurturing and challenging the mind at the same time. I credit the love of my practice and the knowledge shared from my teachers that inspired me to take my first 500hr hatha yoga training in 2010. Since then, I have continued to study various styles of yoga and am working towards a 500hr yoga therapeutics certification with Yoga Medicine.
I teach a strong vinyasa flow with a light-hearted approach to encourage attention to turn inwards, to tune into your own experience, and therefore create a deeper awareness and understanding of self.

ABOUT US

The foundational value of Ekatra Yoga is connection. This is our heart. This is our truth.
Ekatra translates to “together, in one place”, or “in one place, in close connection.”
Ekatra is a first-person felt experience of Yoga in community. We honour this union in the sacred space of yoga practice.
At our Hot Yoga Studio in Leduc, Alberta, we are grateful to offer a wide range of offerings that honour this very sentiment- practices that connect, nurture, and awaken.
We share Yoga that moves beyond the physical postures, offering teachings that inspire curiosity, wonder, and awareness of our innermost being. Our offerings include both hot and room-temperature classes, workshops, retreats, and community events, as well as our Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour and 300-hour Traditional Yoga Teacher Training programs. All designed to compliment one another to support a journey of presence, depth, and transformation.
Our hope to remind you that our practice does not end within the four walls of a space, or the walls of your physical body- this is only the beginning. Our mission is for you to live from a place of connection- connection to body, to nature, to your community, to your higher purpose, to your spirit. Our mission is for you to connect to peace. Our mission is to remind you of joy.
Our mission is to inspire you to live with love.
What a gift it is to share in this. Together. In one place. At and in and with Ekatra.
